{"id":765,"date":"2023-07-04T15:17:38","date_gmt":"2023-07-04T15:17:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cjgmneolabs.com\/projets\/sajj-project\/"},"modified":"2023-12-08T16:36:16","modified_gmt":"2023-12-08T16:36:16","slug":"sajj-project","status":"publish","type":"projets","link":"https:\/\/cjgm.ca\/en\/projets\/sajj-project\/","title":{"rendered":"SAJJ Project"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The service d&#8217;accompagnement des jeunes judiciarized.e.s (S.A.J.J.) began in November 2021 as a pilot project in Montr\u00e9al-Nord.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The aim is to enable young people who have to comply with conditions during their passage through the justice system to understand and respect them.  <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Whether it&#8217;s at the time of an extrajudicial measure, the delivery of a summons or promise to appear, or sentencing, our program helps young people understand their conditions and reduce the risk of re-offending.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The SAJJ is a safe place where the young person can start a dialogue.  <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">open-minded about crime, obtain reliable legal information and acquire new knowledge about the justice system and how it works. It supports the social development of young people and offers a holistic approach to criminal issues.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Objectives:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Avoid the downward spiral of legal action after a first offence.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Help young people better understand the conditions they must meet after an arrest or conviction, throughout the judicial process.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Reduce the risk of recurrence<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Accompany and refer youth and their families (if applicable) according to their needs outside the justice system throughout their passage through the criminal justice system.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":511,"template":"","class_list":["post-765","projets","type-projets","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.4 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/product\/yoast-seo-wordpress\/ -->\n<title>SAJJ Project - Clinique juridique du grand Montreal<\/title>\n<meta name=\"description\" content=\"The service d&#039;accompagnement des jeunes judiciarized.e.s (S.A.J.J.) began in November 2021 as a pilot project in Montr\u00e9al-Nord.
